Arts Society
The Society aims to bring interesting lecturers to the village to talk about a wide range of subjects. John Ruskin and his approach to architecture (by Dr Christopher Donaldson) Leonardo da Vinci and his last years (by Ross King) being examples from the present programme.
We usually have 5 talks between September and April, meeting in the Management Centre of St Bees School at 7.30pm. These are usually arranged for the third Wednesday of suitable months.
Subscriptions are £30 for the 5 lectures (single lecture £8)
There is coffee after the lectures which enables members to question the lecturers.
