West Cumberland Railway Museum
West Cumberland Railway Museum
24 Main Street, St Bees.
A collection of local Cumbrian railway artefacts and social history from the 1840s to the present day. It’s a diverse group of items that should have something to interest everyone – totems, nameplates, posters, lamps, carriage prints, signalling equipment, maps, enamel & cast iron signs and much more.
We are generally open one week per month- see the West Cumberland Railway Museum Facebook page (see below) for opening times. Also, we open by appointment for special interest groups or holiday makers on wet days with nothing better to do – contact petergrooke@btinternet.com. And it’s free !
