St. Bees Village Hall, also known as “Hodgett’s Club”, is an imposing sandstone building in Finkle Street, built in 1882 as the St. Bees Liberal Club. In 1924 the building was bought by the Parish Council.
Today it is run by the Village Hall Management Committee; an independent charitable body run by volunteers for the benefit of the community .
Facilities
The Hall is centrally located in the village in Finkle Street, and has undergone extensive re-furbishment to the heating system, the bar, the toilets and kitchen. Facilities include:
Licensed bar (can be provided on request)
Stage with a 100W sound system compatible with bluetooth
Hearing loop system
55 inch multi-media display for presentations, images, streaming
Broad band Wi-Fi
Kitchen
Rentals for Main hall are £15 hour and is capped at £60 for a day or evening.
A smaller committee room is available on the first floor – POA.
