Coast to Coast Walk Local Walks

St Bees is an excellent location from which to explore the Western Lake District, with some areas, such as Eskdale, even being reached by mainline train and the R&ER miniature railway from Ravenglass.

If you have a car, many other areas are readily accessible.

Locally there are several walks, details available by clicking on Local Walks in the left menu

The Cumbrian Coastal path runs from St Bees to Whitehaven and will be extended in 2016 to Silecroft as part of the England Coast path.

The Wainwright Coast to Coast Walk starts in St Bees.
