Aikido Classes in St Bees

Do you want to learn self-defence? Build personal self-confidence?

Improve your fitness? Do you like learning new things? Do you like having fun and meeting people?

If the answer is yes - learn a traditional Japanese martial art with the British Takemusu Aikido Federation (BTAF) at our St Bees class.
Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art involving the use of unarmed self-defence techniques, the Japanese sword (ken) and the Japanese short staff (jo). Aikido is non-competitive and non-aggressive, you practice with a partner learning how to deliver and receive martial art techniques (empty hand, sword and staff). It is a lot of fun and good for you!!

We run a small friendly adult class in the Old Gym at St Bees School every Thursday night from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and arrange regular trips to visit other clubs and attend seminars and summer schools throughout the year. You do not need any previous martial arts experience or any particular level of fitness. So why not come along and have a go? First class is free.
